Maybe not...I don't want to do 16 again!
I can say that, at 32, I am happier and healthier than ever!
Jon surprised me with a weekend in the Mosel Wine Valley (and a Wii!) for my birthday...and I got to thinking how much my life has changed for the better since I've met him.
I am a firm believer that people can not change other people, people can only choose to change themselves.
Something about Jon, apparently, has moved me to change myself.
Most of you know that I have been married before...twice. I would never say I regret either marriage as I know they are part of what made me who I am today.
But in those marriages, and in my life then, I do remember being
Impatient
Temperamental
Negative
Judgemental
...just UNHAPPY!
I guess something about Jon - and maybe the timing that he came into my life - made me take notice, and realize that there was a happier way to live.
Last time I went home to visit my sister in Texas, I remember her telling me "You've changed so much...a couple of years ago I couldn't have imagined planning a day where it was us and the kids (my nephews) all day. I wouldn't have done that to you."
How sad is that?! They're my nephews for Pete's sake!...but it was true, because if it wasn't about me it wasn't worth the effort! Hello, selfish!
But time moves on, and things change.
I am 32. I am happy. I am healthy. I am BLESSED!
Jon and I are headed home in 3 weeks, and I can't wait for all the nieces, nephews, babies, in-laws and mayhem that entails!
Thank you, Jon, for being patient and wonderful. And thank you to my family and friends (if you're reading this, that means YOU!) for being...well, you...and loving me.
Here's to another great year!

Aw!! I witnessed it. There's LOTS of love there between you two.
Especially when he says, 'Lock it up!'
:)
OH and when he calls you Beb.
